Forgiving yourself and other people can be one of the hardest things you do, but it is essential if you want to live a joyful life. You can’t be happy and bitter at the same time; you have to choose one of them.
When you forgive someone it is for YOUR sake, so that you can be free from the hurt. It does not mean that what they did was right or that they’ll get away with it. It only means that you are set free!
What hurt you more than what they did to you, is the hurt you are causing yourself by holding on to bitterness, resentment and un-forgiveness. Forgiveness is the only thing that can really set you free. Accept the past for what it is, and stop hoping and wishing and thinking that it could have been better or different, and what could have been if this or that hadn’t happened to you. Let go of the past, start a new, fresh and better life for yourself, right here and right now.
All of us have experienced hurt pain, betrayal, disappointment, and betrayal from people who we’ve trusted that has treated us badly and with disrespect. We all have this in common. Another thing we all have in common as well, is the choice to let it make us better or let it make us bitter. You have the choice like everyone else. Choose to be better and choose to be an over comer.
It’s time to stop the pity parties and start the Power Parties. You cannot be powerful by acting like a victim and always feeling sorry for yourself. Playing over and over in your mind the things that people has done to you hurt you will not make you victorious and an over comer. You can do all things through God who strengthens you, and Yes You Can Overcome Your Past!
