Clothe Yourself With Dignity

1 Timothy 2:9:
Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.

1 Peter 3:3:
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.

Proverbs 31:25:
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

Clothe yourself with dignity; dignity is a much more beautiful garment to wear in God’s eyes than any jewelry or fine clothing you are wearing.

Use proper and decent clothes. Just like you use your uniform when you’re working for your earthly employer you should use “a modest uniform” when you work for God. And we work for God twenty-four-seven; we are to be persons of excellence and righteousness at all times. We should be role models and behave and dress modestly at all times, wherever we go.

In the society we are living in today, there’s a lot of focus on physical appearance, and there’s a lot of pressure on how we should look, act, and behave, to be liked, accepted, and loved. We see artists, models, and people on television wearing clothes that are not decent, wearing too much make up and acting immorally. And if we don’t have our morals, values, worth, or self-confidence right, we’ll get affected and try to be something that we are not, and we end up feeling confused and miserable. Because we are not living life based on how we should or want to live, but based on how we think we should or how others think we should live.

You don’t have to dress sexy and indecently to be loved and accepted, and you’ll be surprised how much more people will respect you if you dress more decently and properly. And if somebody loves you based on how you look, then they really don’t love you the way you deserve to be loved.

God didn’t create you unique so that you could fit in and be like everyone else, He created you unique so that you could stand out and be different. Don’t let society shape you, but stay firm and confident in being yourself and by being unique the way God created you to be.

From the Poem “Tears Of A Woman”
“You see my son,” said God, “the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart—the place where love resides.”
