We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence. We need silence to be able to touch souls.
There are a lot of great diets out there that can help us to lose weight and cleanses our bodies. But sometimes what you need more than a body cleaning is a mind cleaning, to take a complete break where you disconnect the world for a while. A cleanse from noise, television, computers, telephones, music, and all the distractions that we are surrounded by every day.
Remove yourself away from all the noise of the world and from all of the technology, and go out in Mother Nature and get a fresh, new environment. Take a break from stress, noise, and news, and you will feel more relaxed, less stressed, and you’ll have a better and more peaceful state of mind.
You will have the silent, distraction free environment you need to get closer to God and to connect with Him. You can also do some breathing and stretching exercising, take a massage, take a bath, go for a walk, or read a book. Anything that can help you to relax and silence your mind is beneficial.
Solitude For Strength
Sometimes we need to just take a break from the world and its people and all the noises and voices following and take some time for ourselves and reconnect with our own inner voice.
Solitude is needed to regain strength and to connect with our inner life and to connect with God. It’s easy to lose your own identity and your inner voice if you never give yourself any time in silence and solitude but are constantly surrounded by other people’s voices and noises.
When you take a break and disconnect from the world and recharge your mind, you will feel more refreshed and renewed and ready to deal with life in a better state of mind and being.
Take some time for yourself, and you’ll have so much to give to others when you do.
