It’s Only In The Dark A Star Can Shine

Philippians 2:14:
Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.

God knows every trial we may experience before it happens, some He prevents, and some He allows to test us. When God allows difficult things and difficult times in our lives to take place, He does this to test our ability to love, forgive, and have faith in Him. He tests our ability to respond to our surroundings and our situation with love instead of responding with hate, resentment, or judgment. He also does this to help us grow.

When we get tested in life and are going through dark times, God gets to see what’s really inside of us. You cannot get tested in forgiveness unless you get hurt by other people, or in patience without waiting, or in faith without going through trials.

Our times of trials, tribulations, difficult times, and tests are when we learn our most valuable life lessons. It’s important to remember that God will give us double rewards for our former shame, troubles, and difficulties. Walk with confidence and faith through dark tunnels knowing that there’s light at the other end. Behind the gray skies, the sun is shining.

In a dark time, the eye begins to see.
Theodore Roethke
