For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.
God is not mad at you. God knew everything you were ever going to do or say long before you did it. And still He loves you, and still He has chosen you to be A Valuable Child of His. Making mistakes does not make you lose God’s love for you. God is still here, and He’s still helping you to become a better person and to be the best that you can be. He sees the potential in you and wants to bring it out of you; He wants to see you shine and wants to see you happy. Guilt and shame won’t do you any good, and it’s unnecessary. Why beat yourself up and resent yourself for something God has already forgiven you for the first time you asked for forgiveness? Have faith in God’s love and forgiveness for and towards you. There’s nothing you can do to make Him lose His love for you. God’s love is unconditional and everlasting.
Your debt is cancelled, your past is forgiven; you can now freely move on to and focus on the future. It was all cleared out the moment you decided to follow God and be obedient to Him.
Being obedient to God doesn’t mean that you are never able to do anything fun for yourself. It means that you are allowing God to lead you to a life that is right for you and good for you and that brings you more happiness and peace than what you are having now.
