The Right Kind Of Relationship

The right kind of relationship, where both are able to be happy, is based on their attitudes. It depends on whether their attitude is a “what can you do to make me happy?” attitude or a “what can I do to make you happy?” attitude. It depends on whether their attitudes are selfish or selfless.
You should be with a partner who allows you to be all that you can be and loves you for you and encourages you to be yourself; you should feel comfortable with being yourself in the relationship.

You shouldn’t have to try to be somebody you’re not to maintain a relationship, or have to change the other person to be able to be happy. You will never be happy this way, and the relationship won’t last for long.

Make Sure That You Are Ready For A Commitment

It’s easy to get excited when we’re faced with new things and new opportunities, but the excitement may pass before the commitment we make is over. It’s easy to start things and to do them halfway through, but it is actually to finish them that is the difficult task.
Before you commit yourself to anything, try to visualize how things will be in the long run and after the greatest excitement has disappeared. Will you be able to handle the responsibility and be committed all the way through? Is this really a person you want to commit yourself to?

It’s easy to be excited, and positive in the beginning of a new relationship or a new job, but to maintain it after the first feelings of excitement are over is the bigger challenge.
Choose to finish what you start, and choose to keep your commitments.
