Colossians 3:8: But now you must get rid of all these things: anger, passion, and hateful feelings. No insults or obscene talk must ever come from your lips.
When somebody offends you and hurt you, it’s tempting to react emotionally. But is it really worth it? Is this person worthy of stealing your peace? Before you want to react emotionally take a step back, breathe and think and ask yourself if it really is worth taking a piece of your peace. If you take a step back before you react, then you get some time to think about how you want to react, and how you don’t want to react.
The longer time we take to react the more time we get to gather our emotions and the more chance we get of controlling them. By observing ourselves and the situation from a distance it will be easier to make better decisions and react in a better more suited way.
If you’re going to bark at every dog that barks at you, then you won’t be able to reach higher levels of success. Because the higher levels of success, the more criticism and opportunities you get to be offended. You need to learn to step back, breathe, pause and then take the time to react in a non-emotional way. Then God will be able to use you in Higher Levels of ministry and Success. Then you shall see your Breakthrough.

Psalm 37:8: Don’t give in to worry or anger; it only leads to trouble.
Ecclesiastes 7:9: Keep your temper under control; it is foolish to harbor a grudge.
Ephesians 4:26: If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day.
Leviticus 19:17-18: ‘You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may surely reprove your neighbor, but shall not incur sin because of him. ‘You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD.
