James 1:12: Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
Stop seeing difficulties as something negative and start seeing it as a challenge you can overcome, and which can help you build muscles you can use to become stronger and to win in even greater ways. Everybody goes through difficult times, but it is those who push through those difficult times who will eventually become successful in life. Stop making excuses and stop the pity party, and stop trying to conform and to stay in a box just please everybody around you.
Stop making excuses. Some of you may say “but you don’t know what I’ve been through, you don’t know how tired I am or the challenges I’m facing or the difficult situation I’m in.” No matter what your excuse is; let it be a reason to motivate you instead of a reason to have a pity party.
If your situation is difficult because you have children and you are a single parent let that be a motivation, be motivated to give yourself and your children a better life, and to be a role model to your children by letting them know that everything is possible. Let go of the fear and you will be free to succeed. Sometimes the greatest obstacle to achieving our goals and dreams are the fear of failure, the fear of what can go wrong. What if you changed your fear into faith, and started thinking about what can go right instead? The possibilities are endless when you change your mind and your thinking. Your attitude to your situation will determine whether you will overcome that situation or not. Stop hoping that your situation will change and instead work hard to change your life. When you stop waiting for things around you to change for the better and stop waiting for the easy way out and you get out of your comfort zone, that’s when your life will change. When you start doing things, that’s when things will start happening. That’s when miracles, breakthroughs, changes and success will happen. It will not always happen quickly or overnight, but it will happen little by little and day by day. And every day you do a little bit, will be a day that will bring you closer to success. That moment you choose discipline over comfort is the moment you win. Discipline doesn’t come automatically, discipline is a daily choice, winning is a daily choice. Success is a result of small daily steps of disciplining yourself and small daily victories.
